Basic Rules
Article 1 – Driver’s Demeanor
Section 1 - Respect:
WASCAR is for everyone's fun and enjoyment; let's respect each other on and
off the track.
Section 2 – NO FLAMING:
Negative or Degrading comments about others will NOT be tolerated.
Remember, things happen on the track that you can't control. If you
can't control your temper and treat others with respect, WASCAR is not the
place for you
Section 3 – Complaints:
If you have a complaint or a problem with another driver, email an admin for
resolution. Posting on the forum or emailing any negative comments
about other drivers are grounds for dismissal.
Section 4 – Chatting:
Chatting during green flag runs is strongly discouraged. Please keep
your chat during green flag runs to the standard auto-chat type messages -
thank you, sorry, pass high, etc. Chatting during yellow flags is fine
as long as you can maintain your speed and proper spacing.
Article 2 - Racing Procedures
Section 1 - Starts and
restarts: The first place car has control of the field. Jumping of the
restart will not be tolerated. Make sure you are lined up in a tight
group for restarts.
Subsection 1 - No
passing the car in front of you on the track on any restart until the
backstretch is reached. The only exception to this is if there are 20
laps or less to go in a race. Special considerations will be
taken into account relating to road courses.
Section 2 – Blocking:
You must maintain your line in the corners, blocking is not allowed, if a
car is passing you, do not change your line to block him, this will only
result in a caution.
Section 3 – Passing:
For Superspeedways, there will be no passing below the yellow line, we
follow Nascar’s rule for Superspeedways because in the past we notice that
with passing below the yellow line only leads to cautions.
Section 4 – Dive
Bombing: Absolutely no dive bombing is allowed, dive bombing only results in
accidents. Dive bombing refers to when a trailing car goes into the corner
at a higher rate of speed and dives underneath the car in front of them as
they are turning into the bottom line. In order to have the inside, the
trailing car must have its fender to the front of the leading car’s back
tire to enter the corner below the leading car, else the trailing car must
back down to avoid wrecking.
Section 5 - Pitting:
All drivers must call out all pit entrances and exits. When pitting
under green flag conditions you must announce your pit stop while on the
backstretch prior to slowing down.
Section 6 – Lap down
cars: If there is a yellow flag with 10 or less laps to go all drivers a lap
or more down MUST pit after everyone else to allow just the lead lap cars
towards the front, you don’t need to change tires but you do have to wait
long enough for the lead laps car to pass you on pit lane.
Article 3 – Yellow Flag Procedures
Section 1 – Racing Back
to the Line: Racing back to take a yellow flag is NO LONGER ALLOWED in
WASCAR with exceptions. When the yellow flag is announced lead lap cars are
required to lift off the gas in a controlled, gradually, and safe manner
keeping their position intact. The leader can either slow down when the flag
flies or continue at speed back to the start finish line. The leader is the
only car on the track not required to slow down upon hearing the yellow flag
announced. The leader can decide if he wants to allow non-lead lap cars to
regain a lap. The following are exceptions to the rule.
Subsection 1 - Passing
is legal when there are 20 laps to go in the race.
Subsection 2 –
Non-lead lap cars are allowed to continue at speed in order to attempt to
gain a lap back.
Subsection 3 – Passing
to avoid a wreck but do not race back to the line passing other non-wrecked
cars.
Section 2 - Pace laps /
Caution laps: Maintain a steady speed anytime the Pace car is out.
If the car in front of you warps and disappears do not move up to his spot
unless a disconnection notice is posted. When the green flag comes
out, maintain your position and smoothly accelerate, don't brake.
Section 3
- During
yellow flag laps all drivers will maintain a minimum distance of no farther
than 0.5 seconds between them and the car ahead of them. This is to allow
everyone to have the same advantage while pitting. We recommend
staggering your position on the track to give more room to avoid any sudden
stopping cars ahead of you.
Article 4 – Equipment Requirements
Section 1 – Driving
Equipment: A Driving Wheel is required, any other driving device like a
joystick, mouse, keyboard are unacceptable because of the difficulty to
maintain a line during a race
Section 2 – Connection
Equipment: High speed connections are preferred and recommended but
exceptions are allowed upon inspection as long as warps are non existent to
protect the competitors from warp incidents.
Article 5 – The Provisional System
Section 1
– Definition:
A Provisional is defined as a race that cannot be attended by a league
driver. The pre-approved request will earn the requesting driver for the
race 75% of the last place driver’s points (without bonuses) or 85 points,
which ever one is the lowest total. (Division specific and Administrators
digression.)
Section 2

provisionals will be awarded.

if you finish the race (Admin's digression)
Subsection 3 – Plus 2

your DPS to 2 points after the suspension or 2 DPS points per race suspended

most DPS points you can accumulate is 14 DPS points
Article 7 –
Lucky Dog Reward
Section 1 - General
Info: When a caution comes out, the first car a lap down will receive a lap
as part of the Lucky Dog Rule but this driver has to meet certain
requirements before rewarded a lap after he/she takes the green flag.
Subsection 1 – The
Lucky Dog Driver can not be the cause of the caution. If the driver is
rewarded the lucky dog but is determined to be responsible for the caution,
he/she will be deducted a lap at the end of the race.
Subsection 2
- Driver
must pit after all the lead lap cars and speed through the pits to get an
"end of the longest line penalty" in order to receive the lucky dog. Let the
admin know if you receive a black flag after a restart to be cleared. The
EOLL penalty will ensure the driver restarts in the back of the pack to
receive the award.
